Location: ASO Building on 412 Travis Street, Lafayette, Louisiana
The Acadiana Symphony is a "per service" orchestra. Our 2015-2016 Concert Season includes 7 Symphony Concerts, 2 Educational concerts and 4 Runout concerts. Total number of services is 10-45. Pay is $70/service (section) and $80/service (principal). Musicians who live over 50 miles from Lafayette will receive travel pay. First-year contracts are always a "trial period". Permanent contracts may be issued after the first year.
Highly qualified applicants are invited to audition. The Audition Committee of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra reserves the right to dismiss immediately, any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards.
