Josue Ramirez, NSU alumnus
Josue Ramirez has been invited to participate in the 6th annual Alfredo Saint Malo (ASM) Music Festival of Panama as a member of the Bass Faculty. This international festival is scheduled for May 31-June 10, 2012. The invitation was extended by a festival organizer after attending Josue's recent recital in partial fulfillment of his doctoral degree at LSU in Baton Rouge.
"The ASM Festival is dedicated to promote music education, appreciation, and performance in Panama, where these opportunities for young musicians are quite limited. The Festival is a week-long celebration including daily concerts, recital by local and guest artists, the National Symphony Orchestra of Panama, the Orquesta Juvenil IstmeƱa and numerous international artists. We will also feature a series of master classes, lectures, workshops, private lessons, and didactic concerts to benefit 100s of young musicians and over 5,000 Panamanian school children."
Our congratulations to Josue!!!
